Amenities & Recreation Near Sierra Park

Outdoor Recreation abounds near Sierra Park, with hiking, biking, swimming, cross country skiing, boating and fishing practically in your back yard. Enjoy the sandy beaches and cool waters of beautiful Bucks Lake, just 17 miles from Quincy where you can fish on the shore or in a boat, water ski, or camp in the great outdoors. The Lake also has a resort, motel and a bed and breakfast inn.

Horseback Riding is available at several local stables, ranches and equestrian centers, one of which is the famous Greenhorn Creek Guest Ranch just about 12 miles from Quincy.

Public Parks and Fairgrounds. Pioneer Public Park and Pioneer Pool are within walking distance from Sierra Park, as is the County's Public Fairgrounds which features the annual County Fair, County Picnic and High Sierra Music Festival.

Shopping and Dining are nearby in downtown Quincy. Stroll Quincy's Main Street and visit the many specialty shops and fine and casual dining restaurants.

Plumas County Museum is also located in downtown Quincy. There you can learn about the counties past and tour the many exhibits and photos collected throughout the years. Just across the street, the Plumas County Court House is a spectacular architectural wonder that attracts visitors and locals alike.

Town Hall Theatre and Plumas Arts provide regular cultural performances, art exhibits, events, movies and films.

The Excitement and Beauty of High Sierra Golf is available at Plumas County's ten golf courses which include Bailey Creek, Dragon at Gold Mountain, Feather River Park Resort, Graeagle Meadows, Grizzly Ranch, Lake Almanor Country Club, Lake Almanor West, Mt. Huff, Plumas Pines Golf Resort, and the Golf Club at Whitehawk Ranch.
